Becoming a Foster for CAAR

The process of becoming a foster parent for one or more of CAAR's animals involves:

  • Filling out the Foster Application
  • Having a home visit by one of our volunteers on the Foster Committee
  • Signing CAAR's Foster Agreement

Once approved to be one of CAAR's foster homes, we will periodically call you when we have animals in need of fostering, telling you a little about the animal(s), any special needs, etc.

You always have the option to decline; you may foster only occasionally or as often as the need presents.  It is totally  up to you.  ANY assistance with fostering GREATLY helps CAAR meet its mission of rescuing animals from being killed.

Please review our Foster FAQ and our Foster Agreement for more information on fostering.
